I can't believe it's August. I can't believe I haven't posted since May! I have put off posting for a while because it fell too overwhelming to try and update about the entire summer. So, I'm not going to! Instead, I'll just post about my favorite part of the summer so far - our trip to Netarts Bay, Oregon. We spent almost two weeks at the beach with my family and it was so much fun. I love Oregon and Washington beaches, the wind, cool mornings and evenings, and occasionally the sun. We drank lots of coffee, wine, beer, ate crab and lots of other great food, kayaked, celebrated two 62nd birthdays and one 6th birthday, read books, walked on the beach, ran on the beach, laughed, ate smores, enjoyed fires, watched cousins play and play and play, and spent time with aunts, uncles, and great friends!
Beach vacations are, and always will be, my favorite. And Oregon beaches remind me so much of beach trips growing up, the ones where we never took off our raincoats and boots, but didn't let that stop us from beach walks, sandcastles, burying each other in the sand, and Andy making major redirections to whatever stream was closest. And add to that mix cousins, aunts, uncles, friends, great food/coffee/wine and you have perfection!

Thanks Heather! I actually just chopped about three inches off!
What a cute family picture! I don't think we've even snapped one pic of the whole family this summer.
Sounds like a fun time! I'm loving how blond your hair is right now. :)
that is such a cute family pic and all the ones on the side too. I can't wait to cut eloise's hair like langley's.
