My sweet friend Kim's little nephew, Ben, ended his battle with neuroblastoma last night at only three and a half. Please pray for his family. The way his mom, Carin, shared their story on the website above was nothing short of heroic. His family is one of the most loving and compassionate families I have ever known, so I know they will find comfort in each other.
In one of those "small world" moments, Carin was Cory's Young Life leader in high school and one of the people he said taught him how to love Christ. Then, Kim and Cory connected in the design program at Western and Kim and I ended up on a mission trip together our sophomore year! Our lives were definitely intertwined. Ben was born shortly after Cory died, and although I can't begin to imagine what heaven is really like, I'm sure Cory will be there to greet him. When he does, I imagine the bit of Christ that Carin shared with Cory, will come full circle back to little Ben.
